Subject: The Nuisance of Loudspeakers during Examination
Days
Sir:
I write this letter to express my anguish and annoyance over
the problem of loud speakers during the examination days. I am a student
studying in +2 standard in a reputed school in the city. The final examinations
are just round the corner. I am preparing very hard day and night. During the
day the loud noise from speakers does not disturb and distract as much as it
does at night. Especially at the weekends the nose from the loudspeakers is
just unbearable. During the last weekend I could not study at all. As a result
my stress and anxiety just hit the roof. In spite of the law prohibiting loud
music playing beyond 11 o’ clock, people just violate the rules and
regulations.
There thousands of students like me who have to suffer on
account of this problem. I on behalf of all the students of the city plead and
appeal to you to look into the matter and ensure proper peace after 11 p.m. so
that we can study. I am hopeful you will take prompt action in this regard.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely

Subject: Ban on insensitive use loudspeakers during examination times.
Sir,
With due respect I would like to bring to your kind attention the problem of irresponsible use of loudspeakers.
First thing, it is not the celebration of festivals, but the manner in which they are celebrated that causes problems. The use of loudspeakers during festival seasons need to be restricted.
Second, there are restaurants, cafes and night clubs where loud music is played late into the night in the name of birthday celebrations and parties.
Third, loudspeakers and loud music are played all day and late into the whole night in the name of birthday parties, get-togethers, etc. This disturbs the sleep of the public. It interferes with the study times of students. It is difficult to concentrate on studies with so much annoying noises.
Fourth, noise pollution also disturbs the sick people who needed quiet to rest and sleep. Noise pollution causes headache and irritable behavior, etc.
Therefore, I feel that the use of loudspeakers and loud music should be banned during examination time. Further, if any individual or group wanted to use it, a permit with guidelines should be obtained prior to the usage. Only genuine ones, for the welfare of the entire community should be permitted.
I look forward to an early action and issuing of directives in this regard.
Yours sincerely,
S.K. Mark
