\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{Answer }}}}

1) The brakes which contains the brake shoe known as \bold{drum\: brake}.

2) When we apply the brake so that shoe will be \bold{expanded} and opposes the kinetic energy causes application of brake.

3) These type of brakes contain friction lining made up of \bold{ceramic} , thin \bold{copper \: wires} and heat resistant material.

4) When we apply the brake cam rotate and expand the brake pads which causes \bold{friction} in between \bold{friction\: line} and drum body causes wear and tear.

5) These brake shoes have \bold{1-4\: lines} are designed to reduce the heat and also help us in changing up of brake pads.

6) These brake shoes are changed according to the specified \bold{kilometres}.

Reason : Due to friction in between the \bold{brake\: pads} & \bold{drum\: body}.
