We have been carrying out food research on the basis of engineering unit operations such as heating, grinding, granulating and freezing in our food process engineering unit. For example, an Aquaーgas technology as one of superheated steams was developed and was applied to blanching treatment of vegetables. In addition, we have been developing high-quality refrigeration and drying technology of agricultural products, and also processing technology in order to expand use of rice as not only grain such as frozen cooked rice but also flour like rice bread.
