WHAT IS THE PASCAL's LAW?

This law states that a change in pressure at any point in an enclosed fluid is transmitted equally throughout the fluid

WHERE IS IT USED?

This law is the basic principle that causes hydraulic power in heavy construction machines to work.

APPLICATIONS OF PASCAL's LAW

  • A hydraulic system is a device in which a small applied force can give rise to a larger force.
  • The most common hydraulic systems are those that operate car brakes.
  • Hydraulic jacks are used to lift a heavy load such as when changing a car tyre.
  • Hydraulic brakes are used in cars, lorries and motorcycles.
