On behalf of the people of Guindy, I would like to bring to light, the nuisance caused by jarring sounds.
Fast growing vehicle population in town in the recent years, has resulted in considerable increase in traffic on roads causing alarming noise pollution, airpollution. Noise level increases with traffic volume in a exponential manner
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), noise is second only to air pollution in the impact it has on health. It is a major cause, not only of hearing loss, but also of heart disease, learning problems in children and sleep disturbance. Yet traffic noise could easily be halved, with existing technology, if more stringent limits were adopted.
Heavy traffic are a cause not only for noise pollution but also adds upto the problem of air pollution to our world. Hoping for a positive response regarding the problem
