Answer

1.

for a half wave rectifier bridge The transformer utilisation factor is much higher than the full wave rectifier circuit. So a half wave bridge rectifier can be used or used where a large DC power is required.

2.

in half wave bridge rectifier the peak inverse voltage across each diode is equal to the peak value of the transformer secondary voltage.

So as a result this half wave rectifier bridge can be used in high voltage application.

3.

In bridge rectifier currents flowing through the primary and secondary are sinusoidal in nature. It increases the transformer utilisation factor and so a smaller transformer may be used than that for a full wave circuit of the same output.

It makes the half wave bridge rectifier more attractive and commercial.

But there are some disadvantages.

its regulation is relatively poor

it requires more two extra diodes than full wave..

.....Hope this helps you...,.......
