1) Legitimate Power : Steve Jobs was the late founder of Apple inc. He through to use his legitimate

power and he effectively banned committees and kept any aspect of organizational hierarchy to a

minimum.

2) Reward Power : Drawing on the information given in the case, we know that working with Steve

Jobs was always going to be eventful. One success brought no guarantees for the future, we can know

that he didn’t use the reward power, and that cause his colleagues worked tirelessly.

3) Expert Power : Steve Jobs had an extraordinary eye for details and he relentless drive to achieve

perfection. He used his expert power and involved with many of the key functions across Apple inc.

Doing this, he expected the employees are doing the same like him.

4) Referent Power : Steve Jobs was famous for getting his colleagues to consistently deliver way above

expectations, relying on referent power, he inspired people to perform at higher levels.

5) Coercive Power : Steve Jobs was never seen or spoken of as an autocratic leader, orders were never

given and nobody saw him as being obsessed with control. We can know that he didn’t use the
