Answer:
In the Ballad of Father Gilligan, the poet Yeats narrates how God showered his mercy on one evening to an old dying priest as well as on a man who was also dying. God makes father Gilligan sleep for the night and sends an angel to the other dying man’s house taking the figure of Father Gilligan. God took care of the spiritual as well as physical needs of humankind as a whole and is very merciful at the end.
