There is no barrier which is impregnable. All it can do is to cause
delay to the intruder. Therefore, a combination of barriers is provided around
the matter to be protected to cause accumulated delay. The types of barriers

Natural Barriers
Natural barriers are rivers, cliffs, ravine etc. These barriers have both
advantage and disadvantages. Whereas on one hand, they cause delay in
the intruder's approach to the target, on other hand, it affords cover to their
activities. Therefore, the reinforcement with other types of barriers should be
considered.
