In the poem Autumn, the poet says that the rice plants sway from side to side in the fields. The lilies adorn a woman’s hair. Birds welcome people with their coos and the bracelets worn make a tinkling sound. At night, the sky is clear without any clouds in the vicinity. The stars appear as if they have dressed up with the moon as their attire. The maiden has a bewitching smile on her face.

The young man waits by the rice plants with rapid heart beats for his lady love to appear. As he waits for her impatiently, he fondles the blossoms on the trees and ruffles the lilies in the pond.
