My Cherry Tree is a humorous poem, which describes the cherry tree that is visited by a large number of birds, who feast on the delicious ripe cherries. The author writes that she has nurtured the tree from seed to sapling to tree, but with no such thoughts, the birds make merry of the fruits. She shouts at the birds, but to no avail. So, the next thing she does is go get the neighbour’s cat, which she hopes will scare the birds away.

My Cherry Tree is a poem written by Ellen Bailey.
Written in a humorous tone, the poem talks about how in numerous birds gather around her cherry tree and eat away her cherry fruits.
The number of birds defeated the number of leaves on her tree and no matter how much she shouted the birds refused to leave her tree alone, hence she decided to get the neighbor’s cat and make it sit guard beneath the tree and hope this will save her fruits from the birds.
