The poem Silver appreciates the beauty of the moon and the glistening stars at night. They give everything a silvery look. When they appear between the tree branches, it looks as if the tree has borne silver fruits. As the silver beam falls on the sleeping dog, it looks as if the dog has silver paws. Similarly, the doves and mice seem to have feathers and claws and eyes made of silver. Even the stream in which the fish reside looks as if it is silver. The reeds by the side of the stream are no different.
