appropritate reason needed.......as per typical reaction of dilute acid ,reaction between active metals + acid (dilute) gives salt + hydrogen.......but when NITRIC ACID REACT WITH ZN AN ACTIVE METAL IT DOES NOT GIVE HYDROGEN WHY IT IS SO?

nitric acid has 3 oxygen atoms.
so it completly oxidises zinc to form water as a byproduct and not only hydrgen gas.
in other words as soon as h2 is evolved it immediatly gets oxydised by oxygen from the acid to form water.
