When I was awakened at dawn on the second day, I was so stiff that I could hardly stand up. After all the unaccustomed exercise I had taken the day before, this was not surprising. However, by the time I had walked out to the field, I felt perfectly all right again, and each day, as my muscles grew accustomed to the work. I began to feel stronger and healthier.
