Given : April, May and June have 90 sweets between them.

May has three-quarters of the number of sweets that June has.

April has two-thirds of the number of sweets that May has.

To Find : How many sweets does June have?

Solution:

Let say June has sweets = 4C

May has three-quarters of the number of sweets that June has.

=> May has sweets  = (3/4)4C  = 3C

April has two-thirds of the number of sweets that May has.

=> April has sweets = (2/3)3C = 2C

Total sweets = 4C + 3C + 2C = 9C

9C = 90

=> C = 10

June has sweets = 4C

= 4 x 10

= 40

June has 40 sweets
