aptitude que h guys please helpon a foggy Delhiwinter ,. a bullock cart and a man were moving in the same direction. Initially the bullock cart was 150 m behind the man. the man could see the bullock cart for 3 min and it was visible to him up to a distance of 45 m. what was the speed of the bullock cart in m/sec if the speed of the man is 4.5 km/h​​

Answer :-

→ Distance covered by man in 60 minutes = 4.5 * 1000 = ,4500 m .

so,

→ Distance covered by man in 3 minutes = (4500/60) * 3 = 225 m .

then,

→ Distance covered by man : Distance covered by bullock cart = 225 : (225 + 150 + 45) = 225 : 420 = 15 : 28 .

we know that,

  • when time is constant , D ∝ S .

so,

→ Speed of man : Speed of bullock cart = 15 : 28 .

therefore,

→ 15 -------- 4.5km/h

→ 28 ------- (4.5/15) * 28 = 8.4 km/h .

hence,

→ Speed of bullock cart = 8.4 * (5/18) = 2.33 m/s (Ans.)
