Answer:

Let X be the no. of days Amit taken

I/12:1/x = 54:81

I/ Xx54 =81x1/i2

54/x = 81/12

x = 8

I/12 +1/8= (3+2)/36 = 5/36,

36,/5=7 I/5 days

They take 7 1/5 days to complete

They must take 4.8 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Apurva and Amit complete the work together and were paid rupees 54 and 81 respectively.

Therefore, \frac{Apurva }{Amit } =\frac{54}{81}=\frac{2}{3}

The ratio of money given to Apurva and Amit is 2:3.

That means their work time ratio would be 3:2.

Apurva takes 12 days, Amit  would take 8 days and the total number of days required (t) would be given by the equation:

(\frac{1}{12}+\frac{1}{8})t = 1

(\frac{2+3}{24})t = 1

\frac{5t}{24} = 1

5t = 24

t=4.8

Hence, they must take 4.8 days.
