Aquarium need to be cleaned once in a while where are ponds and lakes to not required any cleaning. Why?

Ponds and lakes have natural decomposes in them which help to decay the matter. This decayed matter either settles down or is eaten by the organisms in it (mostly reptiles). Thus , it does not need cleaning . Whereas,an aquarium needs cleaning often because there is nodecomposers present in them and they dot not have the ability to decompose the waste themselves. Another reason is that the fishes in an aquarium are adapted to a clean surrounding.
