- lakes are natural ecosystems that has many detritivores to decompose the waste in the lake and help in well being of aquatic life
- but aquarium is an artificial system that we create which do not have any decomposers to clean it.and if we leave it without cleaning the water in aquarium gets contaminated and ultimately fish dies.

The aquarium has a very limited number of food chains and unable to sustain itself. By , sometimes there is excessive growth of algae in lake. Then it also needs to be cleaned.
