Arabala range of vindhyan formation is found in which part of Rajasthan
Answers
The Vindhyan Basin was formed as a result of a large crustal downwarp in the northern part of the Indian Platform, after the Delhi orogeny. The initial transgression of the sea from the north is inferred to have taken place in the eastern part of the basin over the Bijawars.
From the town of Bundi, the hilly region is called as the Arabala range of Vindhyan formations.
These ranges run in the double line of hills and are the main reason for the division of Bundi district in two equal parts. In the northeastern extension, it is cut by the Mej river near Khatkar.
These hills disappear for a short distance and again reappear near the town of Balwan and enter the Sawai Madhopur district.
These hills have an approximate height of 490 metres when are called as Karauli hills and when they reach near Mandalgarh, they are very well defined and low in height till they reach the area of Bundi, Indergarh and Kota.
