Step-by-step explanation:

Total length of the chart: 60 cm

Total breadth of the chart : 50 cm

she left 4cm all around the chart

so, now

the length of the chart is 56 cm (60 - 4 )

the breadth of the chart is 46 cm (50-4 )

now, the area left for sticking pictures is

56* 46 = 2576cm²

Hoping it's correct

Given:-

  • Length of given chart = 60cm
  • Breadth of chart = 50cm
  • Breadth of border = 4cm.

To find:-

  • Area left to stick pictures.

Solution :-

Area of chart = length × breadth

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 60cm × 50cm

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 3000cm²

We know that borders are on both sides to cover,

Area of the border = 4cm + 4cm = 8cm

Area of chart after adding border ,

= (60+8)cm × (50+8)cm

= 68×58cm

= 3944cm²

∴ Space left for sticking pictures will be,

= (area of chart with border - area of chart)

= 3944 - 3000

= 944cm²

Hence, 944cm² area is left for sticking the pictures.
