Explanation:

m1=100gm=0.1kg

m2=20kg

v1=100ms

v2=?

v2=m1/m2×v1

v2=0.1/20*100

v2=0.5ms.

then the velocity of recoil of Ganesh 0.05m/s .

Solution

from the law of conservation of momentum.

MV=-mv

where.

M=mass of gun

m=mass of bullet

V=recoiled velocity of gun

v=velocity of bullet

now...

given

M=30 kg

m=100gram=0.1 kg

v=100m/s

therefore...

=>V=-mv/M

=>V=-{0.1×100}÷{20}

=>V=-0.5 m/s

(-ve sign indicating the direction of recoiled velocity is opposite to the direction of velocity of bullet)

so the recoiled velocity of the gun is 0.5 m/s
