The Aravalli Range combines two of the classical earth's crust sections that make up the magnificent Indian craton. The Aravalli Craton which is the Marwar portion of the earth's crust lies to the northwest of the Aravalli Range and the Bundelkhand Craton portion of earth's crust lies to the southeast of the Aravalli Range.
The mountain stood in a Precambrian event which is Aravali hills also termed as the Aravalli-Delhi Orogen.
