Given :

Aravind has a kiddy bank.It is full of one-rupee and fifty paise coins.It contains 3 times as many fifty paise coins as one rupee coins. The total amount of the money in the bank is 35rupees

To find :

How many cions of each are there in the bank?

Solution :

Let number of one Rs coin = x

So number of 50 paise coin = 3x

According to question,

➸ 35 = 1 x x + 3x x ⅓

➸ 35 = x + 3x/2

➸ 35 = 5x/2

➸ 5x = 35 x 2

➸ 5x = 70

➸ x = 70/5

➸ x = 14

So 14 one rupee coins

and, 3x

➸ 3 x 14

➸ 42

and 42 (50 paise) coin

Given

Aravind has a kiddy bank.It is full of one-rupee and fifty paise coins.

It contains 3 times as many fifty paise coins as one rupee coins.

The total amount of the money in the bank is 35rupees.

To Find

How many coins of each are there in the bank?

Solution

Let the no of one rs coin be = x

And no of 50 point coin be= 3x

According to the question:-

=> 35 = 1 × x + 3x × \dfrac{1}{3}

=> 35 = x + \dfrac{3x}{2}

=> 35 = \dfrac{5x}{2}

=> 5x = 35 × 2

=> 5x = 70

=> x = × \dfrac{70}{5}

=> x = 14

There are 14 one rupee coins.

Again,
