let one- rupee coins be = X

fifty praise coins = 3X

Total amount of the money in the bank = Rs.35

amount of one rupee coins = X × 1 = Rs. X

amount of fifty paise ( 1/2 rupee) coins = 3X × 1/2 = Rs. 3X/2

X + 3X/2 = 35

2X + 3X = 35

2

5X = 35 × 2

X = 35 × 2

5

X = 14

3X = 3 × 14 = 42

There are 14 one rupee coins and 42 fifty paise coins in the kiddy bank
