REQUIRED ANSWER :-

GIVEN :

Side of each tile = 10 cm

length of kitchen = 220 cm

breadth/width of kitchen = 180 cm.

TO FIND :

⇒ Number of tiles needed.

SOLUTION :

area of 1 tile = side × side

⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ = ( 10 × 10 ) cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀= 100 cm²

area of the kitchen floor = ( l × b )

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀= ( 220 × 180 ) cm²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = ( 39 , 600 ) cm²

∴ , Total number of tiles needed :-

Area of Kitchen floor / area of 1 tile

39 , 600 / 100

396 Tiles ✔️

Hence , 396 tiles would be needed.
