no... i do not agree with this point as

1. to learn about today we have to learn about the past and understand it,and there is no other method for that except archaelogical excavation.

2. these also help us to realise the mistakes and quality of the people and the cities during that time.

3. the readings extracted from these hold a great deal of knowledge that remains a mystery till now.
