It is not possible to observe and identify the gas.
The soil may have some minerals or ore inside, which may have a reaction with water and bubble may come out of it.
It may be CO2 but there is equal possibility that this gas may not be carbon di oxide or oxygen either.
Water vapor will not come generally like bubble.
