Saracenic was a repaired designing way commonly used by British architects in India later in the 19th century especially in public and government buildings under British Raj and palaces of rulers of the princely states.

It drew stylistic and decorative things from native Indo-Islamic architecture especially Mughal architecture which the British considered as the old Indian style and Hindu temple architecture.

Normal layout and framework of the buildings seems to be close to that used in contemporary buildings in other styles for Gothic revival and Neo-Classical with specific Indian features and decoration.

Saracen was a word used in the Middle Ages at Europe for Arabic-speaking Muslim people of  Middle East and North Africa.
