İt's a symbiotic relationship between the phycobiont (the algal partner) and the mycobiont (the fungal partner) in a lichen, where both partners benefit. İn a parasitic relation, only one benefits and the other loses. Therefore, alga-fungus relationship in not parasitic.

The association between algae and fungi is actually a symbiotic association and not parasitic
Although as the phycobiont ( fungal partner ) is dominant over mycobiont (algal partner), therefore, it could be considered as a master-slave relationship ,i.e. a parasitic one.
