Group 17 elements are one among the preodic table with high electronegativity....since metals has high electropositivity...hence group 17 elements are not metals despite that they are non metals.....

No. group 17 elements are not metals . they are non metals and their high electronegative in nature. there highly reactive in nature because they they need one electron to attain stable octate configuration
