1.  Proteins are biological macromolecules that are diverse in shape size and function.

2.    Enzymes are molecules that facilitate reactions in a living cell without undergoing too much change i.e. these are biological catalysts.

3.    The ability of proteins to undergo shape changes and reversibly so, make them most suited to function as enzymes among other things.

4.    Other biological macromlecules like sugars and fats are less suited for such a function. Some RNA molecules serve as enzymes too . And for the same reason,too.
