Firstly let's know a bit about Autotrophs

→ Auto means self and troph means nutrition. Autotroph is the name given to those species that synthesize their own food using simple organic substances like Carbon dioxide , water , sunlight etc . ( by the process of Photosynthesis) These are also called primary producers. Examples include green plants.

{\bold{\underline{Are\:all\:plants\:Autotrophs}}}?

All plants are not autotrophs. The plants usually have a green pigment called Chlorophyll which has Chloroplasts.

These trap the energy from the sun.

↪So , only those plants that have chlorophyll are autotrophs. Some exceptions include Pitcher Plant and Venus Fly trap which are parasites.

{\sf{Hence\:all\:Plants \:aren't \:necessarily \:Autotrophs}}!!
