not all compounds are ionic some are co-valent also.

Only compounds forned by transfer of electrons from a metal and a non metal are ionic compounds. They have strong forces of attraction than covalent compounds.

I had explained about covalent compounds. Covalent compounds are formed by sharing of electrons between 2 non metals. Is this ok.
