according to the definition of rational number a number which can be written in the form of p upon q where Q is not equal to zero and P and Q both are integers.
so 7 can be written as 7/1
where 7 and 1 both are integers
and in -1/2
both the numbers are integers
so we can say that both are rational numbers
so 7 can be written as 7/1
