No there is difference between electron affinity and electropositivity. they are not same
ELECTRON AFFINITY
Electron affinity is the amount of energy released when an electron enters into the atom. as we know that when an atom gains electron it gets negative charge and is known as anion
On the other hand
ELECTROPOSITIVITY
electropositivity is the ability of an atom to lose electron after losing an electron atom gets positive charge and is known as cation.
