Are "crowd" and "evidence" countable or uncountable nouns? Can we use articles a/an with these: a crowd/ an evidence? I am not sure.

the crowd can be countable or uncountable.its depend on the it's meaning in the sentence.we can't use any article before crowd.

the evidence is countable noun. any type of article can be used before evidence.

crowd is uncountable noun but evidence is countable.

crowd is general noun so it is uncountable. we can't use any article with it.

evidence is a countable noun so we can use articles with it.

because

u can't use no. with crowd but u can use no. with evidence

like police find two/ three evidences near the house.

but it is difficult to say that there is one crowd two crowd or three Crowd so hope this answer will help you
