Are Cycloalkanes Isomers of Alkanes? Or are they an independent homologous series? ​

Explanation:

No friend ,cycloalkanes aren't isomers of alkanes .As you know that isomer of a hydrocarbon is a substance which has se molecular formula as the hydrocarbon but different structural formula. Cycloalkanes neither have same structural formula nor molecular formula.So they can't be isomers of alkanes.

Yes they are an independent homologous series.
