Are drives such as hard drive and floppy drives represented with drive letters? If so why, if not why?

A drive letter is a single alphabetical character whose range is from A to Z.

It is assigned to a physical drive of a computer system.

Drives in computers with floppy drives are represented with A:.

Computers with a hard drive will always be represented in the form of C:.

But if we want, we may rename it as per convenience for easy recognition.

Additional drives can be easily added with ease as per requirement.
