The existence of a democracy is guaranteed only when the government works for the well being of people, because the meaning of democracy is to the people, by the people and for the people. Elections provide us the right to elect our own leaders, which is an important aspect of a democratic country, but another important aspect is that the government does the job it has been assigned, and that is serving the nation and its people.

So, we can say, election in itself is not sufficient to ensure a democracy, the government must also do its best for the people.
