Are epidermal cells supplied with nutrients from blood vessels located in the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous layer, or all of these?

These layers are so closely associated that they are difficult to differentiate .

the papillary layer lies directly beneath the epidermis and connects to it via papillae ( finger - like porjections) some papillae contain capillaries that nourish the epidermis , other contain meissner's corpuscles , sensory touch receptors .....
