Answer:

528m³ , 471.42 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given---> Base diameter of heap = 24 Cm , and height of heap is 3.5 Cm.

To find---> Volume of the rice and how much canvas cloth is required to cover the heap.

Solution---> ATQ,

Base diameter of heap = 24 m

Base radius of heap = 24 / 2 = 12 m

height of heap = 3.5 m

Volume of rice = ( 1 / 3 ) π r² h

= ( 1 / 3 ) ( 22 / 7 ) ( 12 )² × 3.5

= ( 1 / 3 ) × 22 × 144 × 0.5

= 11 × 48

= 528 m³

Now, we know that,

l² = r² + h²

=> l² = ( 12 )² + ( 3.5 )²

= 144 + ( 7 / 2 )²

= 144 + ( 49 / 4 )

= ( 576 + 49 ) / 4

= 625 / 4

=> l² = ( 25 / 2 )²

=> l = 25 / 2

Area of canvas = Curved surface area of conical heap

= π r l

= ( 22 / 7 ) × ( 12 ) ( 25 / 2 )

= 471.42 Cm²

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of cone = 24 m

Height of cone = 3.5 m

Volume of cone = 1/3 π r2 h

1/ 3 * 22/7 * 12 * 12 * 3.5

528 m3

Now to find the cloth required to just cover the he will find the CSA of cone

l = √r2 + h2

L = √ (12)2 + (3.5)2

L = √ 144 + 12.25

L = √ 156.25
