Are ice and steam different substances? Comment.

boil this water, it's state of matter changes from liquid to gas, i.e, steam. And when we condense this steam, it forms water. Therefore,we conclude that, ice - water - steam are the three different states of a substance and not different substances. All these change of states are due to different temperatures applied

Seeing from a chemical perspective .. ice and steam are very much same and have same chemical formula H2O

.Now if we look from physical perspective, steam is vapour , gaseous state but ice is in solid state..so the question can be approached from any of the two perspectives but, in most cases we look out at the chemical properties and behaviour of such substances when they are asked in these kind of questions. Now, the properties of ice and vapour are very much similar as they are chemically identical as chemical formulae are same..so ice and vapour can be said to be same of course..
