This is what I think of Keralites:

1. Least Corrupt: Malayalis are the most honest( or least corrupt) people in India. You get reciepts for everything here, even for a 50 paisa fine. Transparancy International also terms Kerala as least corrupt state in India.

2. Excellent movie industry: Malayalis produceone of the best movies in India. Malayali, Bengali and Marathi cinema, though not as big as Bollywood, produces far better movies than Bollywood can produce.

3. Predominantly non vegetarians: Malayalis are predominantly non vegetarians and as a vegetarian, it is hard to find good veg food.(P.S.: It is hard to get good idlis and dosas in Kerala, other than a few veg hotels)

4. Tolerent about religion: Malayalis are quite tolerant about religion. The amount of religious riots are quite low when compared to north Indian states.

5. Progressive about education: They are quiteprogressive about education. When the rest of India opposed Macaulay's system of education, Malayalis developed their own version of western education.
