it depends on the people how they see it. libraries can prove to be helpful to those people who strain their eyes by looking at the digital screens of mobiles and tablets. there is nothing which can match the pleasure of reading a book kept on your lap by flipping through the pages. but electronic gadgets can prove to be helpful to those who are blind and cannot see what is written. they can listen to the audio.
so in this technologically advanced world, e-books can thus prove to be very helpful. but because trees are not cut down to make paper for books, technology has helped us very much.

Libraries are relevant in this digital world because technology cannot replace libraries.

1. Libraries should be in every corner of the city.
A large collection of books are available in the library.It is another institution where people come to gather knowledge. It is a perfect place to gather information about any field. Besides it is not possible for everyone to purchase several books and horde them in their homes.I think a library should be in every corner of the city and also in villages. People living in urban sectors can derive benefit from these books.

2. E-books are not safe every time.
Libraries are an essential part of our lives. Though e-books are helpful,they cannot match the kind of benefits ee get from the library. Hence even though e-books are becoming popular,hard copies haven't lost their sheen. Research suggests that reading on paper has its own unique benefits while being hooked to screen has several disadvantages.The e-books are also not the safe reading method.

3.A second home to read books in silence.
The library is not just a place to collect books,it is also a haven where authors and writers sit for hours and do their research or pen their thoughts in the serenity of the room. For avid readers, a library is like a second home. In this digital world, though reading material is available but the gist one cam infer sitting in calm and letting ideas flow through the mind could only be served in libraries.

4.Digital cannot replace libraries.
It is the place where one can read and study with concentration. Online Libraries are also available but they don't ensure full concentration. In fact looking at the screen for long hours can hamper eyesight. We should indeed make use of the advanced technology but some things are better the traditional way. And a library is certainly among them. I feel every citizen should have libraries. The digital platform cannot replace libraries.
