Are metals electropositive or electronegative...?? And what is the reason behind..??

Answer:

Metals are electropositive elements because they can form positive ions by losing electrons.

Because  metals readily loses electrons to form cations while non-metals does not lose electrons easily (in comparison with metals) in forming cation. So metals are considered to be more electropositive and non-metals readily takes electrons from metals are considered to be more electronegative.
