Are nepotism &favouritism same? If yes then why & if no then why not ​

Have you read any scholarly publications, where nepotism and favouritism would be analysed as single phenomenon rather than two separate ones? I would be very grateful if you could share the information. I analysed them separately until now, but I’ve heard other reasoning in scientific discussion.
