but the Red spotted newt is poisonous.

It's an innocent looking one but actually it's not.

This newt shows it's bright colours to warn predators. Until it's injured or it's life is threatened, it doesn't secret the poison. It's skin is highly poisonous. It has poison which can kill an adult human. Still they are used as pets. Native Americans use them to poison their enemies.
