OPIUM AND INDIGO CULTIVATION IN INDIA.

In India there is cultivation of legal Opium and indigo.

This is because  some areas have been set aside and permitted for the production of Opium and their products.

Opium is extracted from the opium tree and used in the industrial manufacture of products and even the production of medical supplements.

The active contents (‎: ‎Morphine‎; ‎codeine‎) are very important in the formulation of special drugs like pain killers.

Opium is obtained from a , Papaver somniferum plant  and is grown by incensed farmers alone.
