PARTHENOCARPY:-formation of fruit without fertilization of ovary is called PARTHENOCARPY. this phenomenon is applied for commercial production of seedless fruits
ex:-banana, grapes
APOMIXIS:-formation of seed without fertilization is called apomixis.
this process is used in production of hybrid seeds production of hybrid seeds is very costly. if reproduction is continued by apomixis farmer can keep on using this hybrid seeds to raise crop year after year one does not have to buy hybrid seeds every year.
